Controversial hockey player Sean Avery hasn’t had time to play a single game: the Orlando Solar Bears announced his release from his ECHL contract on Friday.

The 41-year-old forward, who has played 580 career games in the National Hockey League (NHL), was talked regarding earlier this week when the Solar Bears hired him.
The association between Avery and the formation of Orlando lasted only two days, the time to raise the ire of several former NHLers. Quebecer Georges Laraque had also mentioned that he was ready to return to play in order to be able to face Avery.
Matthew Barnaby had also shown interest in playing in the ECHL in order to engage in combat with the man who has always been recognized as a plague.
