In this first version, all the artists and categories are going to work on the premise of Romeo and Juliet, a universal classic known worldwide and which, moreover, talk regarding love and death; issues that touch everyone. For this reason, we decided on this work so that the 2 challenges are more interesting and provocative when working on them.
First challenge: Each category will have an assigned act of Romeo and Juliet, Act I and II being theater, act III dance, act IV audiovisual and act V technology. The artists must develop the act according to the category to which they applied and fill out the form according to their proposal. The winners must present the staging with a duration of 15 minutes on the day of the festival’s premiere.
Participants can consult www.disidentes.co in the terms and conditions button to know in depth the dynamics of the call.
Second straight: Those 15 minutes must be developed with 1 of the 5 senses as protagonist; one must choose between touch, taste, sight, hearing or smell. In this challenge, we invite you to explore the creation of the piece, for example: not necessarily because it is audiovisual, it should be the sense of sight, it can be hearing and you can even talk regarding taste, as soon as there is an evocation in this regard. The important thing is to creatively involve one of the 5 senses in the 15-minute proposal of the category chosen by the participant, which corresponds to that assigned act.
The objective of this exhibition is that in the end the public will see this result, an exquisite multidisciplinary and multisensory corpse. Each winner will have 15 minute exhibition and you can perform twice on the same night.
