With the Ryzen 7000s, AMD intends to integrate an iGPU on all its processors for the first time.
Would the Ryzen 7000 have an iGPU with 4 CUs?
Since the beginning of Ryzen processors, AMD had chosen not to implement graphics on all chips, as Intel has done for years. The reds are content to create a specially dedicated range (The Ryzen G). But that might finally change with the arrival of the Ryzen 7000s, which would all have an integrated iGPU.
This information was found by VideoCardz in one of the last drivers from AMD SMU (System management Unit), where a mention targeting the frequency of an iGPU at 1100 mhz would refer to the next Ryzen CPUs. This also coming from a speculation by a twittos @KOMACHI_ENSAKA betting on specifications with 4 CUs, less than a Steam Deck or even the Xclipse 920 from Samsung, both in RDNA2.
But this is not the first time this information has surfaced. Indeed, several months ago during leak from roadmapit had already appeared that Zen 4 desktop processors (Raphael) and laptop (Phoenix) would have an RDNA2 graphic part. This therefore seems to be confirmed, all that remains is to know the precise specifications of its iGPUs. If we are still cautious regarding this information, it would be a surprising path for AMD to say the least.
