Delort speaks about a return to the Greens

Invited by Jerome Rothen on the radio show “Rothen s’enflamme”, Andy Delort briefly returned to the comments made by Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi on the same show last October.

Delort in selection for the dams? This was the nagging question that rises on social networks as the decisive deadline that awaits the Greens once morest the Indomitable Lions approaches. However, Djamel Belmadi spoke last October regarding the non-selection of Andy Delort by questioning the OGC Nice striker, who had told him of his wish to put the Algerian team on hold. A desire which was followed by a verbal sparring through the media which found its peak on the antennas of the radio where former PSG player Jerôme Rothen officiates.

Not summoned since these highly publicized deadlines, Andy Delort returned this evening to the statements and strong words used by coach Djamel Belmadi to justify his decision and the words used in the press conference in the same program: “At the time, it hurt me a lot everything that was said. I have always respected and I will always respect the selection and the Algerians. We will see what will happen in the future. In any case, I thank all the Algerians who send me messages on a daily basis, and who support me. »

Jerome Rothem then asks him a question regarding his future with the selection and asks him if he hadn’t given up on the selection, a question to which Delort answers: “No, no at all”. Author of eight goals and two assists in Ligue 1 Uber Eats this season, the Niçois clearly leaves the door open for a future return to the selection. A return which might however not take place under the orders of Djamel Belmadi firm and inflexible on his decision. Move along, nothing to see.
