Last night, the “accidental” publication of a report by the Creg, the regulator of the energy sector, caused trouble in the nuclear dossier. As a reminder, this report calls into question the calculations on the security of supply made by Elia, the operator of the high voltage network. It should be noted from the outset that this warning from the Creg relates to the winter of 2026-2027, i.e. one year following the phase-out of nuclear power. On the contrary, the Creg had validated Elia’s data for winter 2025-2026.
