Guerrilla Games Studio has announced the release of an update 1.05 for Horizon: Forbidden West and published a list of fixes.
The developers are also investigating other known issues reported by players. Among them, special attention is paid to fixing a number of graphical glitches associated with flickering, sharpness and oversaturated images when moving the camera. In addition, the issue of endless loading screens when trying to boot from a melee pit is being resolved, and a fix is being prepared for a bug with blurring of Aloy’s clothes in photo mode.
The main changes of the released patch:
- The “Second Chance” skill now works correctly.
- Fixed an issue that caused the camera to take an unintended position when using certain weapon moves.
- Fixed excessive sharpening in HDR mode.
- Fixed HUD flickering when performing loot actions.
- We fixed an issue where quickly opening and closing the map might result in graphical glitches.
- Fixed an issue where Aloy’s animation would sometimes shake violently when getting up following picking plants.
- Fixed a global issue where in some cases the direction of gaze of Aloy and some NPCs was incorrect.
- Fixed several cases where Aloy, NPCs or enemies might get stuck in geometry.
- Fixed an issue where roads and map icons would sometimes appear with a delay.
- Fixed a number of problems with loading objects.
- NPCs who suffered from “insomnia” in the settlements, who gathered in large groups at night, now behave more naturally.
- Fixed various bugs in quests, both side and main.
- Fixed several issues that caused crashes. Improved performance.
- Other minor fixes and cosmetic improvements have been made.
