The opening of a representative office of the Israel Diamond Exchange in Dubai

Today, the Dubai Multi Commodities Center announced the opening of a representative office for the Israel Diamond Exchange inside the Diamond Tower in the Dubai Diamond Exchange, which reflects the close bilateral relations in the sector between the two parties. Dubai among them Ahmed Bin Sulayem, CEO and CEO of DMCC, Ilan Shtolemann, Israeli Consul in Dubai, Boaz Moldowsky, President of the Israel Diamond Exchange, Eran Zinni, Director of the Israel Diamond Exchange, and Yoram Davas, President of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses. The opening of the representative office will contribute to increasing the ease of doing business for Israeli diamond companies operating in the country, or looking to establish a center in Dubai.
The opening comes a day following the Dubai Multi Commodities Center announced that the UAE topped the list of rough diamond trading centers in the world in conjunction with the holding of the Dubai Diamond Conference 2022, where $22.8 billion of rough diamonds were traded in 2021. The conference was attended by more than 550 experts and sector leaders to discuss the “future of diamonds”. Dubai is witnessing this week the gathering of all representatives of the diamond sector to attend the activities of the Dubai Diamond Week, which also includes the opening of the Dubai Jewelery, Gemstones and Technology Exhibition 2022 and the meeting of the heads of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses.
