LINKE Members of Parliament donate to Bambini Goals | News from Eisenach and the surrounding area

The members of the LEFT parliamentary group are donating 500 euros to the youth teams of VfB 1919 Vacha. The money is to be used primarily for the purchase of Bambini goals, says parliamentarian Anja Müller, who handed over the donation in the presence of the deputy head of the football department, Martin Walter, and three youth players.

The youth teams of VfB 1919 Vacha are not only given a lot of attention within the club. In June 2021, VfB 1919 Vacha, TSV Grün-Weiß Sünna and SV Kali Unterbreizbach agreed to work together in the youth field. They founded the SG Lohberg and bring fourteen youth teams in all age groups to the start here. “Together we want to offer around 180 children and young people a sporting perspective in which they can develop,” says Walter, explaining the project of the play community.

As members of the state parliament for Thuringia, we also want to personally support this honorable commitment in the expensive voluntary work financially, emphasizes Anja Müller.

Müller presented the donation as a member of the association Alternative 54 eV, which was founded in 1995. The association’s name is derived from Article 54 of the Thuringian constitution, in which the automatic diet for Thuringian state parliamentarians is stipulated. The members of the association donate a portion of their daily allowances, which are used to promote important initiatives in the Free State. We support social projects and are involved in the areas of sport, culture, education and training. The increase in the diet of individual parliamentarians benefits many people, promotes solidarity in Thuringia and supports social development in the Free State. As of January 31, 2022, 1,593,430 euros have been donated so far.
