The 2022 F1 pre-season test will be held at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona, Spain for three days starting Wednesday, February 23rd.
The new generation F1 car will finally make its course debut. The first venue will be in Barcelona, where the F1 Spanish Grand Prix will be held, from February 23rd to 25th, and the second will be on March 10th at the Bahrain International Circuit, which will be the setting for the opening round of the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix. It will be held on the 12th.
The F1 team has only six days in total to prepare an all-new F1 car for the record 23-race 2022 season. With aerodynamics and new technology regulations introducing 18-inch tires, it’s completely unclear who will be the leader in the opening round in March.
Prior to the F1 Barcelona test, all 10 teams completed a shakedown (100 km on show tires on f-filming day) and shook off the spider web for a more meaningful test.
Alfa Romeo will run for the team on the first day before test and reserve driver Robert Kubica hands it over to Valtteri Bottas.
