Russian President Putin has been approved by the Senate to send troops abroad.

He said that he did not intend to send troops to the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine right now, but tensions are rising as foreign media reports that an unmarked tank has appeared in the region.

The Russian Senate says it has unanimously approved Putin’s request to allow the military to be used outside Russian territory.

This gave Putin’s plan to send Russian troops to the Donbas region of Ukraine.

Putin has drawn a line that he does not intend to send troops right away, but has said he will provide military aid if the rebel government requests it.

It is interpreted as an intention to evade criticism from the international community by delaying direct intervention while at the same time expanding influence in the Donbas region with the rebels at the fore.

Putin also argued that the crisis would be resolved only if Ukraine abandoned NATO membership and remained neutral.

“The best solution to this problem is for the Ukrainian government to refuse to join NATO so that European countries do not lose face.”

As the sense of war escalates, the mood on the Ukrainian border is changing.

Vehicles trying to cross from Poland to Ukraine have significantly decreased, unlike usual when the queue was 5 km outside the checkpoint, while the number of vehicles and people crossing from Ukraine to Poland slightly increased.

“Every day, every hour of the day, I watch the news closely to see what’s going on at the border. We’re all worried and frustrated.”

“Putin would just sit and think, talk and decide and it would be over, but we’re just so upset because we don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.”

Tensions are rising as foreign media reports continue to report that tanks without their unit’s markings have been caught one following another in pro-Russian rebel-controlled areas in eastern Ukraine.
