The design and design phase of the next high-end iPhone, the rumored iPhone 14 Pro, is said to be complete.
The iPhone 13 has just been released and all eyes are already on its successor, the one that should, in all likelihood, be called iPhone 14. A model expected by many Apple users since it might be synonymous with a new design and new features for headed smartphones. Unsurprisingly, Apple is already working on this new generation and, according to a report from the Taiwan Economic Timesthe new high-end iPhone, the 14 Pro, would be in a very advanced state of design, if not complete.
Indeed, according to this report, the design phase of the iPhone 14 Pro has just ended. Concretely, the design and hardware of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max would be ready. Apple is preparing to start trial production. Foxconn’s manufacturing plants, in charge of the two high-end models, will start producing the iPhone in small quantities to understand and anticipate future problems. This would allow Apple and its subcontractors to avoid any surprises during mass production.
Trial production is also used to anticipate any supply problems, but also possible quality concerns both in hardware and design.
Start of trial production in a few days
Also according to the report, the high-end iPhones will be sent in the next few days to Foxconn factories in China, while the iPhone 14 (and the possible iPhone 14 mini) will follow in stride and go to Luxshare, also located in China. China. Both factories will review iPhone prototypes and tell Apple if they are able to fulfill future orders from Cupertino.
“After trial production begins, the manufacturing line should collect data, correct anomalies, assess the production process and items that need improvement, and assess the acceptability of trial production products. When the items that need to be improved in the trial production products are checked, the mass production can start”says the Taiwan Economic Times.
Regarding this new iPhone, rumors are rife. The 120Hz refresh rate, then reserved for professional models in 2021, should be democratized this year. The top model, the iPhone 14 Pro, might be more focused on power and photography, with 8GB of RAM and a 48MP photo sensor. From a design point of view, all models should abandon the notch in favor of a “pill”, while the photo sensors on the back should no longer stand out.
