Kochi: Farewell to KPAC Lalitha, the actress who dedicated her life to acting for a lifetime with tears in her eyes and laughter. KPAC Lalitha She died on Tuesday night at the Sky Line flat in Siddharth, Tripunithura, the son of actor and actress Siddharth, who had been undergoing treatment for a long time. KPAC Lalitha was born on March 10, 1947 in Idayaranmula, the daughter of Ananthan Nair and Bhargavi Amma in Kadakkalthara, Ramapuram, Kayamkulam. In 1978, she became the wife of film director Bharathan.

Her real name was Maheshwari. Lalitha Ramapuram, who has been interested in dance since her school days, first performed on stage at the school. At the age of 10, she came to KPAC from dance studies with the play ‘Bali’ by Changanassery Geetha. Maheshwari KPAC became simple following joining KPAC. In a very short period of time, KPAC gained simple attention in the theaters.

Thoppilbhasi’s play Koottukudumbam was directed by KS in 1969. It was through Sethumadhavan that he made his film debut in Lalitha. Later you made me a communist and did a lot of films with Sathyan and Prem Nazeer, including Othenan’s son, Vazhve Mayam, Triveni, Experiences and Defects, The Story of a Beautiful, Swayamvaram. She has twice received numerous accolades, including the National Award for Best Supporting Actress. His son Siddharth Bharathan is a film actor. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2000 for her role in Shantam and in 1991 for her role in Amaram. Her performance in Amaram, The First Wedding, The Godfather and Sandesham (1991) won her the State Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1991. KPAC Lalitha also bagged state awards for Best Supporting Actress for Aravam (1980), Srishti Chara (1978), Neela Ponman and Onnum Lelle (1975).

KPAC Lalitha’s ability to handle a variety of disguises spontaneously made her a popular actress. His performances in films like Amaram, Aravam and Venkalam will forever remain in the minds of film lovers. She played countless mother-wife roles and became the best actress who made the Malayalees cry and laugh. Her last films were Mamanithan, Oruthi, Paris Boys, Dairy Milk, Pettamma and Lazarus’ World.

Lalitha’s political career was with the CPM. There were rumors that he would be a candidate in the election. She is the current President of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy.
