Manchester United suffered a heavy blow following it was confirmed that Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani was absent from the match once morest Atletico Madrid, on Wednesday, in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.

Manchester United announced, on Tuesday, that it will miss the efforts of its Uruguayan striker, Edinson Cavani, during the confrontation at Atletico Madrid, Spain, on Wednesday, in the first leg of the round of sixteen of the European Champions League.
Cavani is still suffering from a thigh injury, as he missed Manchester’s last three matches in the Premier League.
And German interim coach Ralf Rangnick said that Cavani had not participated in the team’s training in the last two weeks, and therefore he would not join the team’s squad once morest Atletico.
“No, Eddie will not be able to travel, he has not trained and has not participated in training in the last two weeks,” Rangnick added.
Cavani scored two goals in 11 matches he played this season.
