The Italian Football League’s disciplinary committee announced today, Tuesday, the imposition of a penalty on Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho for his actions during the match that ended with his team’s 2-2 draw with Verona.
Mourinho received a red card towards the end of the match on Saturday at the Olympic Stadium in Rome for protesting once morest referee Luca Pairito and kicked the ball into the stands.
The Italian Federation said Mourinho had made “serious allegations” once morest the referee, and entered the stadium “in a threatening position and protested violently once morest the referee’s decision.”
Mourinho pointed the phone sign at Bayreto, which Italian media interpreted as referring to his father, Pierluigi, who was involved in the famous match-fixing scandal in 2006.

The Portuguese coach, who left the stadium without speaking to the media following the draw, was banned from being with his team in two matches, and was fined 20,000 euros.
Roma occupies eighth place in the league with 41 points, following drawing in the last 3 matches. Mourinho will not be on the bench during the away game once morest Spezia and then at home once morest Atalanta.
