The Banque cantonale de Genève (BCGE) experienced a record financial year in 2021, with 125 million francs in net profit for a turnover of 439 million. Last year also proved to be an “almost abnormal” vintage because of the low level of risk presented by the bank’s customers, noted Tuesday its director general, Blaise Goetschin, during the presentation of the results. This is the consequence of the clear recovery enjoyed by the Geneva economy last year.
