Adil Bouifrouri takes over as head of the international division of Wafa Assurance

Adil Bouifrouri takes over as head of the Wafa Assurance International division, succeeding Ali Chraïbi, appointed CEO of AGMA. He also joined the executive committee of the Moroccan group.

The new head of the international division of Wafa Assurance will be responsible for continuing the regional development of the group, which has 11 insurance companies and a reinsurance branch operating in 6 countries.

This mission, says Wafa, revolves around 5 axes. This involves anchoring the leadership of the subsidiaries in Tunisia, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon and launching the high-potential subsidiary Wafa Life Insurance Egypt; to implement the growth strategy of the Non-Life subsidiaries around the three pillars of automobile, business risk and health; and to enrich the offer of the subsidiaries to make them broad-spectrum insurers, like the parent company, by developing individual health, assistance, inclusive insurance and digital technology, thus making these companies players operating in 7 markets.

The former student of the Institute of Advanced Economic and Commercial Studies in Paris will also have to work to increase the scope to reach a coverage rate of 70% of the African insurance market (excluding South Africa) through an expansion of establishments from 6 countries currently to 11 on the horizon of the plan, and strengthen governance and support for subsidiaries.
