Lovers of live shows, absurd humour, artistic madness and even just madness for that matter, have an appointment at the Espace Malraux this Tuesday evening. The Touraine actor Arnaud Aymard presents “We walked on the Blue Bird”, a new show in the form of a cabaret around his crazy character and surrounded by a whole band of actor friends…
An artist with an absurd but subtle humour, seeking a zone of permanent friction between the correct and the incorrect, Arnaud Aymard enjoys confronting the public’s reactions to his unclassifiable imagination. The Tourangeau began his career alongside the Compagnie Ex-Nihilo and Jean Louis 2000 in the second half of the 90s. Therefollowing, he multiplied the shows and the crazy characters: Ammoniacal, Olaph Nichte, Paco Chante la Paix !, whose 20 years at the Grand Théâtre in 2018 were memorable, and therefore L’Oiseau Bleu, a sort of superhero, anti-hero, evolving in a parallel universe that he wants to save, but with many similarities to ours … Because behind his absurd universes, Arnaud Aymard teases, stings, questions and finally questions regarding our own world and its own absurdity.
This show at Malraux promises to be grandiose. Already because it will be the first of the 4e episode of the adventures of this funny bird, and that it will be held in the form of a cabaret with a whole host of guests close to the actor from Tours: Fred Blin of Chiche Capon, Maria Dolores, Raymond Raymondson, Alexis Delmastro, Thierry Robard, Diane Bonnot, Guillaume Bernard, Stéphanie Delpouve and Gwendal Stephan.
A show that should have seen the light of day earlier in 2020, as part of the “Blague à Part” festival organized by Espace Malraux and AZ Prod and finally postponed two years in a row due to covid (the first edition will normally be held in the fall of 2022). Arnaud Aymard was given carte blanche as part of the festival to create a cabaret around the Blue Bird. A show that will see the light of day this Tuesday, February 22. It’s not to be missed and there are still a few places left.
Tuesday 22 February, at 8.30 p.m., at the Espace Malraux, Joué-lès-Tours. Prices: from 13 to 26 €. Reservations on espacemalraux.jouelestours.fr
