King Felipe VI assured this Monday that has only had “mild symptoms” by COVID-19 and has taken advantage of its first public act to thank both scientists and health professionals for their work in the fight once morest the pandemic.

Don Felipe has reappeared accompanied by Queen Letizia following “a forced break” following having tested positive on November 10 in an act at the Teatro Real on the occasion of the inaugural gala commemorating the acts of the V Centenary of the death of Antonio de Nebrija.

The monarch began his speech by “thanking all the people who have been interested in my state of health throughout these days”, which has specified that it has happened “with just mild symptoms.

In these almost two weeks, Don Felipe has specified, it has been agreed “to so many people who daily develop the disease” and also of those who, “unfortunately, continue to die” from this virus that has been plaguing the entire world for two years.

Likewise, he took the opportunity, together with the Queen, to convey his “admiration and gratitude to the entire scientific and health sector that continues to fight once morest the COVID-19 virus and its variants.
