German football club, Borussia Dortmund, announced today, Monday, that central defender Dan-Axel Zagado will be out of action for “several weeks” due to a thigh muscle injury, while tests revealed that Giovanni Reina’s injury is not as serious as expected.
Dortmund club stated that Zagado suffered a muscle tear during the match that the team won over Borussia Moenchengladbach 6-0 yesterday, Sunday, in the German League “Bundesliga”, and he will miss the next matches of the team.
And striker Reina came out with a thigh injury half an hour following the start of the match, which witnessed his first participation in the starting lineup since August.
But the club announced that the doctors ruled out the seriousness of the injury and expected him to return to the team’s training, at least partially, within two weeks.
And attacking star Erling Halland approached his return following a month-long absence due to problems in the adductor muscle, as he participated in the team’s training today, Monday.
Coach Marco Rose hopes to be able to include Haaland in the match scheduled once morest Glasgow Rangers next Thursday in the second leg of the European League play-off, following the first leg ended with a shocking 4-2 defeat for Dortmund at home.
