Game news Street Fighter 6: The game designer of Bayonetta 2 and Star Fox Zero at work on the Capcom game
Capcom’s countdown ended on Monday February 21 and it was in the form of a short trailer that the Japanese publisher announced the return of Street Fighter. Soberly titled Street Fighter 6 (note that the Roman numerals have disappeared), the fighting game will be shown longer next summer, but we can already expect the integration of Luke, the youngest of the band. In parallel with this announcement, game designer Yusuke Hashimoto illustrated himself through a tweet by revealing his participation in this new adventure.
For many, Yusuke Hashimoto’s name will mean nothing, but the Japanese has been rolling around in the industry for many years. He notably started at Capcom in 1998 before continuing his career at PlatinumGames. We were able to appreciate the quality of its design (objects, visual effects, etc.) on games like Street Fighter Alpha 3Mega Man & Bass, Devil May Cry, but also a large number of Resident Evil games. And not just any since he worked on Resident Evil 3 : Nemesis, Resident Evil (the incredible Gamecube remake), Resident Evil 0 or the unforgettable Resident Evil 4. On the strength of this experience, he then, excuse me, became a producer of Bayonetta before taking orders Bayonetta 2 and Star Fox Zero.
A SIZE LEAVES, OTHERS ARRIVE
With Street Fighter 6Yusuke Hashimoto opens a new page in his history.
Street Fighter 6, the newest entry in the Street Fighter series, has finally been revealed!
I’m pleased to share that I’m working on it as one of the game designers.
Please look forward to further news! https://t.co/uPTi7tp958— Yusuke Hashimoto (@ yusuke8shimoto) February 21, 2022
According to rumors, this new canonical episode should use Capcom’s RE Engine and join almost all the machines of the moment, whether you are PC, Xbox or PlayStation players. For the person concerned, this new position seems to be a real satisfaction and we can’t wait to see what direction, in particular artistic, will take this Street Fighter 6. Yoshinori Ono, true legend of the franchise, left Capcom to join the Delight Works studio and it is therefore without one of the sizes of Street Fighter that this sixth episode will see the light of day. Looking forward to the next details!
