Serbian top seed Novak Djokovic confirmed his participation in every available tournament, on the sidelines of his participation in the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
“I have to follow the rules, I will play in any tournament that accepts my participation,” said Djokovic, who was prevented from participating in the Australian Open because he did not receive the vaccination once morest the Covid-19 virus. I really can’t choose my posts, it’s a matter of where I can play. I don’t plan to play all the tournaments on the season schedule, but that wasn’t my intention before the start of the season.”
Djokovic praised the welcome he found in Dubai, and said, “Most of the players in the dressing room received me better than in Australia, where the situation was a bit strange.”
Djokovic will lose the top spot if his runner-up, Daniil Medvedev, wins the Mexican title at the weekend.
