The speed of trains has been limited to 80 km / h since 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the provinces for which the IRM has issued an orange wind warning, namely the two Flanders, Antwerp and Hainaut, as well as on the Coast; indicated Frédéric Petit, spokesperson for the rail infrastructure manager, Infrabel.
It had already been decided earlier to limit trains to 80 km / h between Bruges and the Coast from 7 p.m. But the IRM later extended its warning to other provinces.
This limitation is in effect until the end of train service.
