With 4,000 cars on board, including 1,100 Porsches, a freighter is burning in the Atlantic, reports several media including the Dispatch website. And this, in the Azores area, off the coast of Portugal. The crew members were all evacuated by helicopter, according to the same source.
UPDATE: Li-ion batteries in the EVs on board the vehicle carrier Felicity Ace have caught fire & the blaze requires specialist equipment to extinguish. It wasn’t clear whether the batteries first sparked the fire.
