1. Yati Surachman
Social media was shocked by the confession of Yati Surachman who decided to convert from Islam to Christianity at the age of 12.
Yati’s desire to become a Christian was because she saw a Christmas tree at her neighbor’s house. In fact, Yati was born in a family that is closely related to Islam.
“At that time, I felt that the Christmas tree was very beautiful. I felt calm when I saw the tree. It was very simple. I didn’t even know the call at that time,” said Yati Surachman, quoted from the Miracle of Life YouTube channel.
Even though when she embraced Christianity, Yati was shaken because she had never completed the Koran.
“Before, I finished the Koran, there was no Indonesian meaning. So I doubted it once more,” he said.
Until finally, Yati was determined to embrace her new religion. Even though at that time Yati did not dare to admit to her family that she was a Christian.
“I have not dared to admit it until the school is over, in the film. I haven’t said that I follow Jesus,” he concluded.
