Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is starting a new African tour which will take him to three countries from February 20 to 23. He will travel to the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday, which is the first leg of his tour.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan flew at 11:20 (Turkish time) from Istanbul to the capital Kinshasa.
Turkish Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Mevlut Cavusoglu, Interior, Suleyman Soylu, Defense, Hulusi Akar, Trade, Mehmet Mus, Transport and Infrastructure, Adil Karaismailoglu, Youth and Sports, Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu , the Director of Communication of the Turkish Presidency, Fahrettin Altun, the Spokesman of the Turkish Presidency, Ibrahim Kalin and the President of Defense Industries, Ismail Demir are part of the delegation accompanying Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
– Turkish President will also visit Senegal and Guinea-Bissau
After his visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Turkish President will travel to Senegal and Guinea-Bissau.
The various aspects of cooperation between Turkey and these countries as well as the possibilities for improving relations in all fields will be discussed during the official meetings that will be held within the framework of the tour.
During his visit to Dakar, President Erdogan will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Dakar Olympic Stadium with a capacity of 50,000 spectators, built by a Turkish company, alongside the President of Senegal, Macky Sall and heads of State of other invited countries.
The Turkish president is also due to hold bilateral talks with the leaders of the countries participating in the event. He will also preside over the official inauguration of the new embassy building in Dakar.
Erdogan’s visit to Guinea-Bissau will be the first official visit by a Turkish president to the West African country.
