Game News The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild: A mod improves the durability of weapons
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and modders is a story that continues, each contributing its stone to the building of the personalization of Link’s adventure. It must be said that the title allows free rein to the imagination, as is the case for those who created the mod called Second Wind.
Second Wind, a vast way
Today we’re focusing on an update to a mod created by a team that currently numbers 50 developers, including Waikuteru, the man who just gave details of the new content, through information relayed by our colleagues from Eurogamer. This team notably redesigned the first sanctuaries of The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild, those that originally allow us to understand the overall functioning of these “mini dungeons” that punctuate the entire adventure. We invite you below to watch one of the videos that Waikuteru has published in order to have an overview of the changes made to this unofficial expansion of Breath of the Wild. We also invite you to take a detour to Waikuteru’s YouTube channel if you want to have a broader view of his work on this mod.
Something new and weapons that hold up
These recent additions also bring their own quests, non-playable characters and weapons, as well as mammoths that roam the snowy regions. But that’s not all, the Second Wind mod also adds new mechanics like weapon crafting, made possible through the services of blacksmiths and access to anvils, in response to the question of the lack weapon durability in Breath of the Wild. Regarding this last point, perhaps some players were able to express their dissatisfaction during a large survey organized some time ago by the Japanese company, which asked users of the latest installment in the series to answer a few questions. Anyone who took part in this survey can testify that Nintendo showed a keen interest in it regarding fan expectations for a future episode of the series, particularly on the question of dungeons – in the face of the sometimes mixed reception of the Divine Creatures – and with a free section to indicate possible complaints. Will the Japanese company take certain remarks into account and adapt the content of the next The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the Wild 2 ? For now, the mystery remains.
