Kansas City. A Kansas City woman accused of beheading her six-year-old son is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. The prosecution of the 35-year-old was suspended on Thursday following a court in the US state of Missouri ordered the investigation, the television station KSBH-TV reported.
The woman was charged with murder and a weapons misdemeanor following officers found her son dead last Tuesday. Police say the woman called 911 herself and said the devil was trying to attack her.
When the police entered the house, they found the dead boy, bloodied knives and his mother covered in blood. A dog had also been killed. There were no other children in the house.
