“If the Kremlin’s goal is to have less NATO on its borders, it will only get more NATO,” Jens Stoltenberg said at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
Venezuelan politician Jorge Arreaza commented on the statements made this Saturday by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg regarding a possible aggression by Russia towards its member states.
“The gringo-European elites carry war in their genes. Making enemies is their nature. They make war, then they exist, destroy and enrich themselves“, the former foreign minister of Venezuela wrote on his Twitter account, following the affirmation of the head of the Atlantic Alliance, in which he pointed out that “if the Kremlin’s goal is to have less NATO on its borders, it will only get more NATO”.

Speaking at the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany, Stoltenberg stated that “in response to Russia’s pattern of aggressive actions,” they are strengthening their “alliance-wide deterrence and defense to avoid any miscalculation or misunderstanding” regarding the commitment to defend each other. At the same time, he insisted that the organization is a defensive alliance “that does not threaten Russia or anyone“.
Since last November, several top Western officials and media outlets have claimed that Moscow plans to invade Ukraine, reports that have intensified in recent weeks, suggesting an ‘imminent’ war. However, the Kremlin has repeatedly rejected these claims.
