Bilbao, Feb 19 (EFE).- The parliamentarian of the PP+Cs group in the Basque Parliament, Carmelo Barrio, has asked his formation, the Popular Party, for “unity” in the face of the crisis unleashed within it.

Barrio, in a speech on Radio Euskadi, pointed out that next Monday the president of the Basque PP, Carlos Iturgaiz, will deal with this matter during his participation in a forum in Bilbao, where he will submit to possible questions regarding the position of the Basque formation in relation to the accusations between the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and the national leadership of the PP.

The Basque parliamentarian has considered that this matter “must be resolved in Madrid between the national leadership and the Government of Madrid”.

After indicating that the political parties are “very important institutions, they are of reference”, Barrio pointed out that “at this moment” what he has to ask of his formation is “unity, unity and unity”, he stressed.
