The journalist, Tawfiq Okasha, said that the post he wrote on his personal page on the social networking site “Facebook” in which he offered to sell a dining set consisting of spoons and forks, valued at up to 20 thousand pounds, is not due to the ruling on him in the frozen alimony lawsuit, which amounted to 180 Thousand pounds.
Okasha added, in exclusive statements to “Masrawy”: “The verdict is in the first degree, meaning there are still litigation procedures, still in two stages, so the issue of the case is still in time, and the matter has nothing to do with the case.”
He explained: “The story of the publication is that I have a set to sell, due to financial hardship, and a female journalist from Al-Ahram called me to buy it, and I almost went back to her words, and currently someone who is selling antiques called me on the set and said I will evaluate the price and talk to you, and I am currently waiting.”
Okasha added: “I am the only one who was spending on a satellite channel, I would have closed the channel had it not been for the January 25 revolution, and the country would have been wasted and no one understood the need. I said it is forbidden because this country is good for us, and if Egypt took all my money, I would not be upset.”
Okasha had announced his intention to sell one of the valuable dining sets through his private page on the social networking site “Facebook”, which caused the interaction of a large number of his followers on the page, as he was forced to do so to face the situation he is currently going through.
Okasha’s post came as follows: “For sale, a complete set of hanging, fork, and knife set, German Alpaca, stainless steel, old classic silver paint, never used. The price is 20 thousand pounds for seriousness only, and we accept negotiations.”
Followers’ comments came: “There is no power or strength except with God, our Lord relieves your distress and distress, Dr. Tawfiq”…and “There is no might or power except by God, the Most High, the Great. May God relieve your anguish and our anguish”…and “You are a respectable man. We lost you. Pasha.” And “God protects you and sets it free for you and us, and grants you from where it does not count, and opens the doors of halal sustenance for you and us.. By God, if the world narrows us down more and more, we are satisfied only with what is permitted by God. Everyone is in need, Amen, Lord of the worlds. My greetings to you, Doctor.”
