Prince Harry’s lawyer pleaded on Friday that, despite his exile in the United States, the Queen’s grandson will be “always at home” in the United Kingdom, as part of legal proceedings to obtain protection policewoman.

By ceasing to be working members of the Royal Family, Harry and his wife Meghan lost the law enforcement protection afforded to them at the expense of the British taxpayer.
Harry offered to pay the costs and is now challenging the Home Office’s refusal in court.
The couple, who left the UK in 2020 and settled in California, enjoy private protection in the US, but Harry argues they cannot have access to the information needed to be able to provide security of his family on British soil.
“The plaintiff does not feel safe when he is in the UK,” pleaded his lawyer Shaheed Fatima during a hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice.
“It goes without saying that he wants to come back to see his family and his friends and to continue to support the associations which are so close to his heart”, she argued, “but above all”, the United Kingdom “ is and will always be at home.
Last summer Harry’s car was chased by paparazzi following he left a charity event. The next day, he and his older brother unveiled a statue of their mother Diana, who died in 1997 in a car accident in Paris while being chased by photographers.
Harry introduced this procedure in September, but for the time being, justice has not yet indicated whether a hearing on the merits would be granted to him.
