In the United States, the setbacks of this star child regularly darken the pages of tabloid newspapers. If Chet is the way he is, it’s partly the Oscar-winning actor’s fault. “I haven’t had a strong male role model to say to me, ‘Dude, tell these people to fuck off'”he lamented when discussing his status as a child star on YouTube. “‘You grew up with all the things they dream of, so they put you down to make you feel bad, because they’re jealous’. I needed to hear that”, he added. Chet Hanks would therefore have forged this shell to protect himself from others. Nevertheless, he assures us that he “wouldn’t change anything” to his life and that he “love” his parents.
