Turkey has released Osman Calli, who was sentenced to life for a quadruple homicide in Belgium, including his wife and sister.
“The fact that he is free drives me crazy. There is no trace of humanity, empathy or altruism in him. He is a monster!” Bahar Kimyongür does not take off. This sworn translator in Belgium, registered on the list of Most Wanted in Turkey by the Erdogan regime, protests the fact that Osman Calli was able to recover his freedom in Turkey when he had been sentenced to life in 2008 for quadruple homicide, a double attempted homicide, arson, carjacking and hostage taking.
The Ghent of Turkish origin had been transferred to Turkey in 2013 to serve his sentence there. He then benefited from Turkish law according to which early release is possible as soon as two-fifths of the sentence have passed. Belgian justice was never informed of this decision. An aberration, according to Bahar Krimyongür, given the dangerous nature of the person concerned.
