Garmin launches today in TaiwanFlagship series smart watch Fenix 7 and Epix released in January. The Fenix series is Garmin’s top-of-the-line outdoor smart watch with built-in functions such as more than 40 sports modes, Multiband GNSS positioning technology, and built-in maps. Compared with the previous generation, Fenix 7 mainly improves the operability. In addition to an additional physical button on the left side, it is also equipped with a touch screen for the first time in the series, providing users with another operation option.
Compared with foreign countries, Taiwan’s Fenix 7 is relatively simple in terms of specifications. It is divided into three models: Fenix 7S with a 1.2-inch screen, Fenix 7 with a 1.3-inch screen, and Fenix 7X with a 1.4-inch screen. Scratch-resistant Power Sapphire sapphire crystal with built-in solar charging. Among the three, the Fenix 7X has added a flashlight lighting. In addition to four-segment white LEDs with adjustable brightness, it also has a red-first strobe mode. In case of emergency, the SOS distress signal can also be turned on, and the white LED will continue to flash at the frequency of three shorts, three longs, and three shorts.
Both Fenix 7X and Fenix 7 are available in graphite grey metal bezel/black silicone strap, and mineral blue bezel/pebble white silicone strap. The suggested prices are NT$31,990 and NT$28,990 respectively. Fenix 7S is only available in cream gold bezel / light sand silicone strap, suggested price NT$28,990
Epix can be regarded as the AMOLED screen version of Fenix 7. Although the power durability will be slightly inferior to the Fenix 7 using a reflective screen, it also has a 16-day smart watch usage time. On the premise that charging is not too much of a problem, Epix’s AMOLED is a joy to place next to the Fenix 7. Epix launched two versions with black titanium bezel/black silicone strap and white titanium bezel/white silicone strap. The suggested price is NT$31,900.
