After a recap of last week’s confrontation between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey, TV viewers are greeted by Michael Cole and Corey Graves as commentators. Graves acts as a replacement for Pat McAfee, who is already in Los Angeles reporting on the Super Bowl there.

Meanwhile, Sonya Deville is already in the ring and talks regarding Rousey’s attack on her last week. She clarifies that Rousey will not receive any special treatment even as a star. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Naomi or Ronda, if an official is attacked, the wrestlers have to reckon with the consequences. Therefore, she gives Rousey a $100,000 fine and an indefinite suspension. Allegedly, Deville wants to have clarified this with the management team, but now Adam Pearce comes to the ring and points out an e-mail from Vince McMahon himself.

Pearce reads the boss’s email, revealing that McMahon refused to suspend Rousey. In addition, McMahon (apparently long-lined) has heard that Deville has been taking matters into his own hands and using her power lately. The (obviously also slightly forgetful) boss emphasizes in his email that he can’t stand it when officials abuse their power. As a result of the past treatment given to Naomi, Deville is now prohibited from further tackling it physically. Furthermore, if Deville disobeyed any of Mr. McMahon’s instructions, her position would be seriously questioned.

While a shocked Deville stands in the ring, a beaming Naomi appears on the ramp. As Naomi makes her way to the ring, she summarizes that Vince McMahon ordered Deville to stop physically assaulting her. However, the e-mail did not mention that this also applies vice versa. Naomi then slaps her rival in the face and backs out of the ring with a few more niceties.

Commentators now look at today’s card and Elimination Chamber PPV. Michael Cole explains the rules of the Elimination Chamber match once more.

Meanwhile, backstage, the members of New Day interrupt a photo shoot by Lotharios on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. After a commercial break, Angel and Humberto are also interviewed by Kayla Braxton. The two consider themselves fiery competitors as well as attractive lovers. That’s why they come up with their possibly new tag team name “The Lethal Lovers” in the course of the promo.

Tag Team Match
Los Lotharios (Angel & Humberto) defeated The New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) via Angel pinning Kingston following a rollup.
Match time: 10:21
– Before the match, Angel and Humberto were announced as “The Lethal Lovers Los Lotharios” and started a kiss cam as part of their entrance.

Backstage, the Viking Raiders are to be interviewed by Megan Morant, but an attack by the Usos means there is no interview.

In another backstage segment, Roman Reigns is now ready for a sit-down interview with Michael Cole, accompanied by Paul Heyman. After Cole brings up last week’s “return of an icon,” Heyman first refers to himself before Cole clarifies that what he really means is Goldberg’s comeback and challenge. In addition, Cole highlights Goldberg’s past accomplishments such as his winning streak at WCW, including a win over the immortal Hulk Hogan. Reigns then states that if he were actually in WCW, everyone would benefit because that would mean the promotion would still exist.

Cole then mentions Goldberg’s next big win, beating Brock Lesnar in 86 seconds at Survivor Series a few years ago. Reigns, however, is not impressed and says that Lesnar is already a thing of the past. Heyman also emphasizes that he doesn’t care regarding Lesnar, but that his sole focus is on the Tribal Chief. Reigns emphasizes that only he matters. He’s accomplished something no one has accomplished in 35 years, and if “that guy” (meaning Hulk Hogan) came back, he’d get a beating too.

Cole now brings up the fact that Reigns and Goldberg were supposed to match two years ago at WrestleMania and whether Reigns felt any additional pressure because of that. Reigns denies this and claims that the pressure is entirely on Goldberg. Two years ago, Goldberg may have had a chance, but now the world looks different. Now he is unstoppable. He will pick everyone apart because he is the greatest of all time. Heyman promises, as usual, that this is not a prediction but a spoiler. Finally, Reigns says that he will “do the Goldberg” once morest Goldberg, thus announcing a quick squash.

Back in the hall, ahead of the upcoming match, there’s a video pack looking back at the feud between Natalya and Aliyah so far.

A video of The Rock talking regarding his father, Rocky Johnson, is now being recorded for Black History Month. Among other things, you can see how Johnson was able to win the title together with Tony Atlas as the first black tag team. There is also video footage of young Rock talking regarding training with his father and how his WWE career has continued on the path his father paved for him. Finally, an excerpt from the Hall of Fame recording of Rocky Johnson from 2008 is shown, where The Rock had held the eulogy.

Sami Zayn is now in the ring. A clip is played of Johnny Knoxville writing “Loser” on a poster of Zayn and throwing one of his shirts into a shredder. Zayn claims he doesn’t care regarding Knoxville’s actions. Finally, he has an Intercontinental Championship match once morest Shinsuke Nakamura next week to focus on. In addition, he will continue to focus on his podcast. For this one, he once more finds fault with the booing fans who would ruin the audio track for his podcast.

Rick Boogs now interrupts the segment by playing Nakamura to the ring with his guitar as usual. Zayn says he’s surprised Nakamura came to his podcast following avoiding him at all costs for the past few weeks. He can’t wait to see how stupid Nakamura will look when he finally defeats him in a singles match for the title next week. Additionally, Zayn has accused his opponent of being in cahoots with Knoxville to distract Zayn from the title.

Nakamura then asks Zayn if he already knows regarding the movie Jackass Defeated, which will be filmed next week and starring Zayn. However, Zayn has only a few insults towards Boogs, mainly because the latter replaced Zayn as Nakamura’s cornerman. Boogs now wants to grab the microphone, but receives an electric shock. While Nakamura takes care of his companion, Zayn takes advantage of the moment to attack and hit Nakamura with the Helluva Kick.

After flashing back the storyline between Drew McIntyre and pranksters Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss, Moss stands backstage with his black eye. Corbin asks his partner if he’s willing to accompany him for the match once morest Cesaro. However, Moss says he needs to sit back and see a doctor. In the best-case scenario, Moss hopes the Doctor won’t give him ring clearance for the Elimination Chamber match once morest McIntyre either. Corbin got Cesaro packed today but alone.

Happy Corbin defeated Cesaro via a pin following the End of Days.
Match time: 3:50

Backstage we see Madcap Moss being examined by the doctor. Moss tries to convince the medic to cancel the match once morest Drew McIntyre at the Elimination Chamber PPV. However, McIntyre then appears and forces Moss to perceive the match under threat of his sword. He also casually mentions that their match is now a Falls Count Anywhere match.

Bill Goldberg is now backstage for a sit-down interview with Michael Cole. Cole continues to praise Goldberg’s achievements, but also mentions critical voices who think that Goldberg has gone too far with this comeback. Goldberg replies that he can’t listen to these people because that would only distract him. He assures that he is still good old Goldberg. Cole now comes back to the match that was originally planned two years ago and Reigns’ statement that he claims to be a completely different person than two years ago. Goldberg says that nothing has changed for him, following all he is still the old Goldberg.

Regarding their match, Goldberg says Reigns will get what he’s deserved in the past two, ten, or even 15 years. When asked regarding Reigns’ statement that Goldberg would recognize him and that he would “do the Goldberg” once morest Goldberg, Goldberg replies that he already recognized Reigns last week as his next victim. With a hearty laugh, he promises he’ll win the title once morest Reigns at the Elimination Chamber PPV and then defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania as well.
