After covering 1.6 million km with his old Volvo, he receives a nice gift from the manufacturer

We all know in his family and in his close relations a person who, at all costs, continues to drive with a car that is several decades old. This is the case of Jim O’Shea. In 1991, this American bought a new Volvo 740 GLE from a dealership. Since then, a little over 30 years, he has remained faithful to this model. The car paid him back since it passed the one million mile mark on the clock, or more than 1.6 million kilometres.

A new model to replace the old one

Having heard of this story, Volvo Cars USA decided to surprise Jim. In the same dealership where he bought his 740 GLE 30 years ago, he has just received the keys to a brand new model: a luxurious Volvo S60. However, Jim must not sell his old Volvo too quickly since the new car was not offered to him. It’s actually a free loan for two years. During these two years, Jim will not have to worry regarding maintenance or insurance either, since everything is taken care of by Volvo.

See you in two years to see if Jim decides to get back behind the wheel of his good old Volvo 740 GLE or if he’s got a taste for the luxury and comfort of the S60 and decides to buy a new car. .
