Erin Jackson: what an incredible story!

Our special correspondent for the Beijing Olympics, Andy Mailly-Pressoir, told a simply incredible story in his daily intervention on the show JiCMonday.

See it in the video above.

American Erin Jackson became the first black woman to win a gold medal in speed skating on Sunday, winning the 500 meter short track.

But what’s even more impressive is that she first tried long blade skates just six years ago. However, she knew how to skate since she practiced roller derby, but it is still quite an achievement.

To add to this Hollywood scenario, Jackson failed to qualify for the Olympics in January. If she was able to shine in Beijing, it was thanks to her teammate and friend Brittany Bowe, who kindly made way for her.
