F1: Nicholas Latifi “I got a message of support from Hamilton”[F1-Gate .com]

Williams F1 Nicholas Latifi said he received support messages from many drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, following confessing that he had been slandered in the followingmath of last year’s F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, including death threats. ..

Nicholas Latifi had a crash at the end of the final round of the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and introduced a safety car. That triggered the issuance of controversial rules for F1 race directors, allowing Max Verstappen to win a come-from-behind victory and win the title.

Nicholas Latifi subsequently criticized it in an open letter, revealing that a flood of social media messages of slander, including death threats, forced him to remove Twitter and Instagram from his smartphone.

Nicholas Latifi talked regarding slander for the first time since the post, saying that many F1 drivers, including Lewis Hamilton in the whirlpool, contacted him and provided support.

“As for subsequent support, Lewis sent me a message a few days later, I think it was just before I made the statement,” said Nicholas Latifi.

“I’m not going to elaborate on what he said. I’ve also received support from other Mercedes F1 team members.”

“Obviously, it was really nice and encouraging to see the overall protest of support on social media from multiple drivers, teams across so many different disciplines.”

“Everyone agreed with the emotions and the whole message. Not just these incidents and situations of this online slander.”

“I didn’t feel great on the first day. I think I got over it in two days, but unfortunately some people can’t handle it well for some reason and can have very serious consequences.”

Latifi said he took the threat of murder “seriously” and strengthened personal security as a precautionary measure in the weeks following the race on December 12.

“It may sound silly to some, but following all, I don’t know how serious people are,” Nicholas Latifi explained.

“It’s possible to meet a fan who is drunk following a bad day at the airport, is influenced by something, or has a very extreme opinion. Even just one in a million people.”

“I had a day back in London following the race, but when I was doing certain things, I was relieved to some extent because I mightn’t fit it well before the last block of the race. I went to Winter Wonderland with my girlfriend. Put some security on. “

“It may sound silly and funny, but I didn’t know what would happen, so I took the threat seriously. It’s a shameful part of the world we live in.”
