Tomorrow, Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population will launch a promotional campaign to provide free family planning and reproductive health services and means in all governorates of the Republic, under the slogan “Your Right to Organize.”
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that the campaign will be implemented in all governorates of the Republic, including remote and deprived areas, villages and areas that include the President’s initiative (Decent life), in two phases, the first from February 13 to 24, in the governorates of Giza, Fayoum, Alexandria, Beni Suef, Dakahlia, Kafr El Sheikh, Assiut, Qena, Aswan, New Valley, and South Sinai.
He added that the second phase of the campaign will be launched on February 27 and will continue until March 10 in the governorates of Cairo, Qalyubia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Sharqiya, Beheira, Damietta, Ismailia, Suez, Port Said, Marsa Matrouh, Red Sea, Sohag, Luxor, and North Sinai, pointing out The campaign aims to provide free family planning services and means, in addition to supporting the Egyptian woman and raising health awareness for the Egyptian family.
Abdel Ghaffar stressed that a distinguished set of safe and effective family planning methods will be provided free of charge to raise the rates of use of family planning methods, through trained teams, and a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, to sign a medical examination, pointing out that family planning methods are disbursed through fixed units and centers. Urban, general and central hospitals, maternal and child care centers, and through mobile clinics that provide service in remote areas.
