The Spanish Society of General and Family Physicians (SEMG), with the aim of disseminating knowledge and facilitating the participation of residents of this specialty of Family Medicinea in the next XXVIII National Congress of General and Family Medicine, to be held from June 7 to 11 in Bilbao, has once once more convened a Training Assistance Plan for the registration of young people in training.
Due to its innovative hybrid format, the national congress of the SEMG provides and guarantees the virtual assistance of the largest number of professionals, both from our country and from other Spanish-speaking ones. For this reason, the training grants will be for both digital and face-to-face registration of residents.
So that a greater number of medical residents can benefit from the SEMG Training Aid Plan, the scientific society has contacted both the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), the College of Physicians of Bizkaia and the teaching units of Family and Community Medicine of the autonomous community.
How can scholarships be obtained for the XXVIII SEMG Congress?
The ways to obtain a scholarship to attend the next XXVIII National Congress of General and Family Medicine are, on the one hand, submitting a paper as first author, in any of the modalities (original, clinical case or project). The request for information and processing of scholarships can be made at the congress website and through the email address [email protected].
Other measures implemented by the SEMG to facilitate the participation of residents in its congress are the ECOenigma and DERMOenigma contests launched this February on their social network profiles, to which this year are added those of NEUMOenigma and CARDIOenigma.
Every fortnight a new clinical case will be published accompanied by images that residents must interpret correctly. Among the successful scholarships will be raffled registration for the XXVIII National Congress of General and Family Medicine.
The presence of Family and Community Medicine residents at the national congresses of the Spanish Society of General and Family Physicians has increased in recent years, consolidating as key piece in the annual event most important of the scientific society. This is mainly due to the initiatives that are being launched to encourage the attendance and participation of the new generations of family doctors in the national congress of the SEMG.
