No trip to the Berlinale: Isabelle Huppert tested positive
There should be a gala in her honor at the Berlinale. But she won’t be able to be there herself. Because the French actress Isabelle Huppert – here pictures from 2018 – tested positive for the corona virus and remains isolated at home in Paris. So she won’t be able to accept the Honorary Golden Bear for her life’s work on Tuesday. But the Berlinale organizers were able to calm fans down. The 68-year-old does not feel ill and will attend the ceremony via video link. Huppert made her film debut in 1972. Since then she has acted in numerous productions and has received many awards and nominations from the film industry in France, Europe and worldwide. She had already been awarded at the Berlinale in 2002, with a Silver Bear for outstanding artistic achievements, together with the ensemble of the ozone film “Acht Frauen.”
On Tuesday she should have received the Golden Bear for her life’s work in Berlin. Now she will be there via video link.
