Attention.. a sign in the abdomen that indicates that you have fatty liver disease • Al Marsad Newspaper

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an umbrella term for a number of conditions caused by the accumulation of fat in the liver.

People with early signs of the condition develop cirrhosis, which is scarring of the liver that prevents the organ from working properly.

Early symptoms of this type of liver disease include dull or aching pain in the upper right abdomen above the lower right side of the ribs, extreme tiredness, unexplained weight loss and a feeling of weakness, according to “Express.”

Symptoms become severe with jaundice, known as yellowing of the skin and eyes, itchy skin, and swelling of the legs, ankles, feet and abdomen.

Cirrhosis is the most advanced stage of liver disease, which can lead to liver failure and sometimes life-threatening complications.
