The Ministry of Health and Population has announced some steps to maintain dental health.

The ministry indicated that these simple steps are:

1- Brushing your teeth at least twice a day for two minutes

2- Eat a healthy, balanced diet that contains vegetables, protein, and fruits

3- Use dental floss at least once a day

4- Avoid unhealthy food

5- Make sure to drink plenty of water

6- Drink milk daily

And Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the acting Minister of Health and Population, held his weekly meeting yesterday, Monday, with his assistants and leaders at the Ministry of Health, agents and directors of health directorates in the governorates of the Republic, at the headquarters of the General Office of the Ministry of Health and Population.

This comes within the framework of ensuring the public health of citizens, through continuous monitoring of the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus in the governorates, and following up on the progress of the Ministry’s plan to address the pandemic.

During the meeting, the Minister listened to a detailed explanation regarding the vaccination system with anti-Coronavirus vaccines, and the percentages of recipients of doses (first, second, and refresher) at the level of all governorates of the Republic, through fixed and mobile vaccination teams, directed to intensify the presence of mobile vaccination teams in crowded places, to facilitate the citizens.

The Minister also reassured the readiness of hospitals in the governorates, following reviewing the periodic reports on the rates of patients’ visits to hospitals and the occupancy rates for internal beds and intensive care beds in hospitals, pointing to the availability of a sufficient stock of medicines and medical supplies needed for patients.

The Minister confirmed the continuation of training medical staff in hospitals on the correct methods in dealing with various degrees of infection with the Corona virus according to the latest treatment protocols, stressing the unification of the protocol at the level of the Republic’s hospitals, as well as training the doctors concerned with treating cases of home isolation patients on the correct methods for dealing and treating patients.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, indicated that the Minister was informed of the reports on cases of home isolation from Corona virus patients, and the distribution of medicines for the treatment protocol to them in homes or through obtaining them from hospitals, stressing that all necessary services are provided to them through The ministry’s hotline “105” or through the text message service 1440.

Abdel Ghaffar pointed to the continuity and sustainability of periodic traffic to hospitals in the governorates of the Republic, to ensure the availability of manpower, follow up the performance level of medical teams, follow up on the implementation of the Corona virus treatment protocol, and ensure the availability of a strategic stock of medicines and medical supplies, referring to the passage of committees from the care sector. The urgent need for the Republic’s hospitals to ensure that inpatient beds and focused care are available for patients with the Corona virus, and the distribution of cases to alternative hospitals to prevent the accumulation of patients in some hospitals.

“Abdul Ghaffar” stressed that the high rates of vaccination of citizens with coronavirus vaccines contributed to reducing the rates of patients’ admission to hospitals and intensive care, especially for the elderly, stressing the availability of all types of vaccines in proportion to their ages and health status, and he also pointed out that the citizens who received the text message regarding an appointment Booster dose They can receive the vaccine within two months of receiving the message.
