DILLENBURG – The student council (SV) of the Johann-von-Nassau-School in Dillenburg donates the proceeds of their recent Christmas card sale to flood-damaged people from the Ahr valley. The donation of 450 euros goes specifically to the Schumacher family and their two children, who lost everything due to the flooding last summer.

The members of the SV, the liaison teachers Ulrike Gotthardt and Andrea Weide-Arfaoui, the deputy headmaster Sezer Avci and Katrin Kloos took part in the check handover.

Handover of the donation at the next helper assignment

After the flood disaster, Kloos has often been to Dernau, a local church in the Ahr valley. She also supports people in overcoming the crisis. Jan Tjorven Scholl from class R9b and Katrin Kloos will take the donation with them to their next assignment in the Ahr Valley and will continue to work there as a volunteer.
