Then, the Norwegian announced with great emotion that she will not participate in the relay on Wednesday with her team, the big favorite. “I’m not allowed by the Norwegian team doctors to run any more in these Olympics so I’m going to go home to Norway,” she sighs. . There is nothing I want more than to participate in the relay with my teammates, the other girls and the best team but my health is more important. It’s a very difficult decision but I’m only 25 so I hope to have many more years ahead of me in this sport. »

“It is a medical decision to stop Ingrid now,” added Lars Kolsrud, the Norwegian team doctor. We want to bring her back to Norway and examine her to see what we can do, how we can help her so that it doesn’t happen once more. »
