The Gunk is an action-adventure game with light puzzles, released exclusively on Xbox last December. It invites you to explore an alien planet, whose beauty is buried under a layer of “gunk”, a sort of parasite that disrupts both flora and fauna. The player takes control of Rani who, along with her partner Beck, seeks to draw resources from this unknown world, but finds herself under the alien and wounded spell of the planet.
The title is already available in the Xbox Game Pass but it seems that its publisher, Thunderful Games, wants to broaden its horizons. Indeed, from next spring, the game will be available on PC via Steam, among other platforms, and will attack the Brazilian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese markets – sorry! – thanks to the new languages announced.
More interesting for French speakers, a photo mode will appear. It must be said that the varied and colorful universe of The Gunk willingly lends itself to the exercise and that it will undoubtedly be very pleasant to play the virtual tourist.
