ISL | Blasters back on winning track; Victory over East Bengal

Kerala Blasters return to winning ways in ISL The Kerala Blasters defeated East Bengal by an unbeaten margin. This is the Blasters’ first win once morest East Bengal. With the win, the Blasters finished third.

Today we had to make a lot of changes but in the first half we saw the dominance of Kerala Blasters. But Kerala did not create good opportunities. In the 25th minute, Jackson’s header from a corner was caught by the East Bengal goalkeeper. Three minutes later, Sahal fired a shot from the right wing but missed the target.

The Blasters took the lead from a corner in the fourth minute of the second half. Enas Sipovic, a locked corner, jumped over the East Bengal defense and headed home.

The Blasters have 26 points from 15 games. East Bengal are 10th with just 10 points from 17 matches. Hyderabad topped the list with 29 points and ATK Mohun Bagan was second with 26 points.
