‘The Rings of Power’: Check out the series’ first trailer

TV SERIES – After the very first official images of the series published this weekit is now the turn of the trailer this Sunday, February 13.

Amazon Prime Video has indeed offered an spot during the 56th Super Bowl played in Los Angeles to unveil its first trailer for one of the most anticipated series of the year, The Rings of Powerprequel to Lord of the Rings.

The plot, which follows the forging of the original rings of power during the Second Age that allowed Sauron to spread darkness across Middle-earth, takes place thousands of years before the events of Peter Jackson’s trilogy.

In this first trailer (to see below), aAmid shots of grandiose landscapes, we can see two elven characters familiar from the first films -Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and Elrond (Robert Aramayo)-, as well as new characters imagined for the series such as a dwarf princess named Disa (Sophia Nomvete) or the elf Arondir (Ismael Cruz Cordova).

Starting Sept. 2, the Amazon series will air one episode a week every Friday, and will feature a massive cast with more than 40 names, most of them unknown to the general public.
