“End of March, beginning of April is unacceptable”

In tribune collective published this Sunday, February 13 in Le Figaro, twenty LR senators demand the immediate suspension of the vaccination pass: “ A possible lifting of the vaccination pass at the end of March-beginning of April is not acceptable “, they hammer, believing that there is no reason justifying its maintenance.

From the outset, the senators sound the charge by emphasizing that the vaccination pass in no way meets a health need, but purely and simply a political calculation: “ After putting the French on probation, the government would like to be the one to free them, a few weeks before the first round of the presidential election “, they denounce.

An accusation that will be reiterated bluntly later: “ The government must stop “annoying the French” with political measures hidden behind health pretexts. »

“The vaccine pass makes no sense”

Point by point, the right-wing elected officials dissect the arguments regularly put forward by the executive. ” LThe vaccination pass makes no sense if the government’s objective is to limit the circulation of the virus, they note, before emphasizing that ” a negative test would be much more effective than proof of vaccination, since neither two, nor three, nor four doses prevent you from being contaminated and contagious ».

Regarding the argument that the vaccination pass would be necessary to increase the vaccination rate, the authors of the forum judge that “cIt is a chimera to believe that those reluctant to vaccinate yesterday will be convinced tomorrow. »

Vis-à-vis the situation of the hospital which would be saturated due to Covid-19 patients, they respond with a study by the AP-HP published last January. This had revealed that the congestion of the care services was not caused by the virus. Moreover, they do not hesitate to underline the responsibility of the executive whose decisions have undermined the health system: 4,389 hospital beds closed in 2020 alone, they write.

“The consequences of the vaccination of the youngest are more than uncertain”

The senators then discuss the impact of health measures on the education and mental health of children, drawing attention to the harmfulness of the obligation to wear a mask continuously.

They also do not hesitate to venture into the field of vaccination by openly questioning the government’s justifications: ” The consequences of the vaccination of the youngest are more than uncertain. The scientific justifications which led the government to authorize the vaccination of children under 11 are unclear, although the latter are not subject to serious forms of the virus and participate in natural immunity. »

The forum ends by emphasizing the exasperation of the population vis-à-vis health restrictions. For them, it is a vast majority » from French who « can no longer bear all these deprivations of liberty ” and that ” daily » notice « inconsistencies in health management “. As a result, they believe urgent to restore freedom to the French, before the country plunges once more into disorder. “And to conclude:” We therefore call, as more and more countries are doing, like Denmark and the United Kingdom, for the immediate lifting of the vaccination pass. »
