Music – Hamburg:Elbphilharmonie is looking for chair sponsors once more: concert invitation

Hamburg (dpa/lno) – The Elbphilharmonie’s chair sponsorship campaign is entering the second round: Under the motto “Future needs space”, sponsorships for seats in the Great Hall can once more be accepted. With the donations, the chair sponsors make “space” for new ideas and exciting funding projects and support young musicians and subsequent generations of visitors, as the Elbphilharmonie Foundation announced.
“The first chair sponsorship campaign was a complete success. We would like to build on that and look forward to getting even more chair sponsors interested in funding this time,” said Bernd Eckardt, Chairwoman of the Elbphilharmonie Foundation. With the assumption of a sponsorship for a total of five years, a self-chosen name can be attached to a plaque on the back of the chair.
On April 19, at the invitation of the Elbphilharmonie Foundation, all chair sponsors will sit in their personal sponsored chair at the concert of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. A tour of the concert hall and an organ presentation will also be raffled off. The donations or endowments of 1,000 or 2,000 euros per sponsorship (depending on the location in the hall) benefit the program of the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle.
